FREDvested LLC ("FRED," "we," "our," or "us") operates the website at fredvested.com and, in the future, the FRED mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your data.
This policy currently covers our waitlist and landing page only. When the FRED application launches, a separate and more comprehensive privacy policy covering in-app data (including brokerage, bank-linking, and identity verification data) will be provided prior to account creation.
By visiting fredvested.com or joining our waitlist, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We collect only what is necessary to operate our waitlist and improve our service.
Collected when you join the waitlist. Used to send you waitlist status updates, your invitation when a spot opens, and marketing communications about FRED. By submitting your email, you consent to receive these types of electronic communications from us.
The target retirement age you enter in the calculator and provide at signup. This is used in aggregate to understand our user base and to personalize your waitlist experience. It is not sold or shared individually.
We collect your IP address and immediately convert it to an irreversible SHA-256 hash before storage. This means we never store your actual IP address — only a one-way fingerprint used solely for rate limiting and abuse prevention. It cannot be used to identify you.
The date and time you joined the waitlist. Used to determine your waitlist position and Founder status.
At this stage, we do not collect your name, phone number, payment information, government ID, Social Security Number, or any financial account data. These will only be collected in the future FRED application, governed by a separate privacy policy.
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Plausible is a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites or devices. All data is aggregated and anonymous.
Because Plausible does not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information, no cookie consent banner is required for analytics purposes. You can learn more about Plausible's data practices at plausible.io/privacy.
We work with a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate fredvested.com. Each is listed below along with the data they receive and why.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that form submissions are made by humans, not bots. Cloudflare may process your IP address and browser data as part of this verification. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Your waitlist data is stored in a MySQL database hosted by Railway. Railway provides secure cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS. Railway's privacy policy applies: railway.app/legal/privacy.
Cookie-free, privacy-first website analytics. No personal data is transmitted to or stored by Plausible. See the Analytics section above for more detail.
Future third-party sharing: We do not currently sell or share your personal information with any third parties for their own marketing or business purposes. If this changes in the future — for example, if FRED partners with a service that requires sharing certain data — we will notify you by email before any such change takes effect and provide you the opportunity to opt out.
We take the security of your data seriously. The following measures are in place for our waitlist platform:
When the FRED application launches, additional security measures will be in place including passkey authentication, step-up authentication for sensitive actions, and background app locking. These are described in the app's privacy policy.
We retain your waitlist data for as long as necessary to manage your waitlist position and communicate with you about FRED. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your record within 30 days, subject to any legal or operational obligations that require us to retain certain information.

FRED is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user under 18 has submitted their information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has joined our waitlist, please contact us at help@fredvested.com.
FRED is currently intended for residents of the United States only. We do not offer services to residents of the European Union, United Kingdom, or other international jurisdictions at this time. By joining the waitlist, you represent that you are a US resident.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For minor, non-material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes — such as new data collection practices or new third-party sharing — we will notify you via email at least 14 days before the change takes effect, giving you the opportunity to request deletion of your data before the new practices apply.
